Interstate Access: Rock Creek Parkway provides the easiest access to other parts of DC and the Virginia and Maryland suburbs.
Closest Attractions: Adams Morgan is best known for its nightlife. Nowhere else in the District will you find the same concentration of bars, clubs, and restaurants. Adams Morgan hums with excitement on weekends as young professionals hop from club to club.
Restaurants: The variety of places to eat in Adams Morgan is plentiful, and the flavor tends to be international. Upscale Brazilian, Ethiopian, Japanese, and New American restaurants compete with an astonishing number of pizza parlors offering a “jumbo slice.” Locals flock to Pizza Mart as the original purveyor of the “jumbo slice.” Clubs come and go quickly in Adams Morgan, but Madams Organ for roots music and Ghana Café for reggae have proven staying power. The Diner provides all-night munchies, and Tryst is a favorite for a quiet latte or quick bite after work.

Neighborhood Description: DC’s most eclectic neighborhood takes its name from the Adams and Morgan elementary schools which were desegregated in 1955. The integration of the schools forged a new neighborhood identity that persists today. The neighborhood is home to recent immigrants, long-time DC residents, and a steady flow of young professionals taking advantage of the great nightlife.
Number of Homes: Adams Morgan has its share of stately row houses, some divided into condos. Flashier new developments have come on the market in recent years, and there are a large number of established condominium developments with old world charm.
