Buying Your First Home? Let our Team be Your Professional Guides.

You might be a bit afraid, stressed out, or intimidated by the whole process of buying your first home in Northern Virginia. As top Alexandria, Arlington, and Washington DC real estate specialists, it's our job to guide you, from beginning to end.

We will take the time to go through each and every step of the buying process. There are no dumb questions!

Together, we will consider:

  • Current market conditions
  • Financing options
  • Fixed rate, adjustable rate, and interest-only mortgages
  • What’s a comfortable mortgage payment
  • How much should you use for your down payment
  • What it takes to write a winning offer, believe it or not, it’s not all about the price.

You will need to be coached on how to successfully purchase a home in Northern Virginia. You must be prepared to compete with other buyers, and we wi'll show you how.

The Buying Jitters

If you’re like most first-time home buyers, you’ve wanted to buy for several months now. You’ve been browsing online and looking at virtual tours and videos, you’ve even applied for your mortgage so you know what price range to look in. Don’t be shy about getting your feet wet and start looking at homes in person. We encourage all of our buyers to be vocal about their likes and dislikes so that we can zero in on homes that meet your criteria.

Once you’re under contract, it’s normal to develop a little anxiety when the reality of owning a home starts to settle in. We know, we’ve seen it many times. The important thing to remember is to maintain a close relationship with us. Put our numbers on speed dial, email or text message us! There’s no such thing as a dumb question, and don’t wait until the last minute inquire about something that you feel is important. Also, the saying, ‘keep your friends close, keep your enemies closer’ applies. Are you getting advice from professionals or naysayers? If your parents are involved in your buying decision, we’re probably in contact with them too. Times have changed since they first purchased their $40,000 home, and the industry has evolved with more flexible financing. Does your close circle of friends own a home, or are they renting? Your homeowner friends are probably cheering you on, while your renting friends may be a little hesitant to display their good wishes.

Just remember the best time to buy was yesterday, the next best time to buy is today.
